I have never riden a Colnago but I have been assured time and time again that the ride of the C40 is brilliant. Plus they are made to look like works of art and besides money is no object.
I am a big fan of Campagnolo because it works so smoothly and has solid confidence inspiring brakes. I choose record because it is the best of the line up obviously.
There always has to be one glaring stand out and that is the Dura Ace pedals. I have used SPD-R, Look and now SPD-SL and I reckon the latter are the best yet. Pedals are an important ergonomic factor and this is where euro brand loyalty stops.
The hubs/spokes/rims combo because they are light and quite durable (Lighter than Ksyriums) and the Contis because i love thin tyres pumped up to 145psi. Oh, how they roll! (I've not used singles yet).
I like the bend of the Deda bars and the polar is there because i have to know exactly everything that's going on!
