Summary: i was surprised by the difference i felt upgrading from the mavic open pro stock wheels to the sl wheet set. these wheels are much stiffer, making them more responsive to acceleration and cornering.
Strengths: stiffness-acceleration and cornering
Weaknesses: none to speak of

Bike Setup: 5200 (120oclv), Full Ultegra, Mavic Ksyrium SL wheels, Michelin Pro race 2 tyres, Chris King headset, Ultegra pedals, Deda newton stem, Deda 215 bar, Easton EC70 seatpost, Selle italia SLR Ti saddle.
Summary: I’ve owned these wheels for 4 years now and put 6780 (summer use only) miles on them and counting. Replacing the original race lites that came with the bike. After initial problems with loose bearing in the hubs which is easy to fix, I can honestly say these have been great wheels. They are reasonable light, stiff, strong and quiet. I’ve never had to true them or service them in this time either. For me they are bomb proof and a very worth while investment.
Strengths: Easy to get up to speed, light, stiff and strong. They give great road feed back to the rider and still look good as new 4 year on.
Weaknesses: None.

Summary: Very strong and light wheelset. Spins well and I constantly have to brake on descent to avoid upsetting the pack! The bling factor helps heaps as well
Strengths: Spins well and good power transfer
Weaknesses: None so far. Maybe the price

Bike Setup: Cannondale Synapse Carbon, full Dura-Ace, Kuota Katch handlebar, Mavic Ksyrium SL3 wheels
Summary: I've had these for about 6 months now, and I LOVE THEM. They are light, stiff and bomb-proof from what I've seen. I actually bought another set (used) for my time-trial bike. They are a bit expensive, but if you keep looking, you can find a good deal (>$600). They are great looking also. Makes my bikes even prettier!
Strengths: Stiff, light and durable
Weaknesses: Nothing really, but MSRP is rediculous ($950)
Summary: I've ridden these for 3 seasons - about 5,000 miles. I'm 170 pounds and these wheels have never needed service and they are still perfectly true.
These were an upgrade from mid-90's Dura-Ace hubs with Mavic OpenPro rims and 32 butted spokes. They are a bit lighter than the older wheels and are a little more aerodynamic.
Strengths: Durable
Reasonably lightweight
Weaknesses: Expensive
