Price Paid:  $25.00 at belgium

Favorite Ride:
Smuggler's Notch

Bike Setup:
Marinoni Delta Extra (aluminum with carbon fork and rear triangle), Veloce gruppo, Campagnolo Vento wheels

Summary:
This is my third pair of Rubino pro, the last one pruchased in Belgium at a small LBS for 25$, tax included. When I decided to replace the tires at the beginning of the 2008 season, the technician convinced me that the front one still had a lot of thread left. It now has endured 10000 km of (mostly) Quebec roads, potholes and some gravel included. No flat yet. Ditto for the rear tire (4000 km so far). Contrary to some posts, no problem under heavy rain.

Strengths:
Puncture resistance. Overall behavior.

Weaknesses:
Not the lightest. I could not care less.

Similar Products Used:
Cadence Propulsion Kevlar

Price Paid:  $27.00 at online

Favorite Ride:
with friends

Bike Setup:
Avanti Monza
105's
Mavic cxp wheels

Summary:
Bought a set of these to replace a set of Gator skins after hearing good reports about them and also having a generally positive experience with the cheaper Vittoria Zaffiro's last year.
First impressions were that they are a comfortable and fast tyre that is easy to mount, I really liked them. After about 1500k's had no flats and only one tiny nick in them, all good.
For clean dry roads they are a great tyre if a little vague, if there is moisture about, forget them, I would rate them as dangerous in the wet possibly a consequence of the compound they are using, it has an unusual 'papery' feel.

Strengths:
Low rolling resistance, easy to fit, fast and durable, nice ride.

Weaknesses:
Lack of grip.
Diabolical in the wet, you have been warned. A pity really.

Price Paid:  $0.00

Bike Setup:
Trek Project 1 with Campy Chorus

Summary:
Vittoria Rubino Pro

Strengths:
I finally changed these tires after 4650 miles. They give a decent ride, good handling and life. I probaly could have squeezed another 500 miles but chose caution over being stuck somewhere. I replace dthem with another pair of Rubino Pros

Weaknesses:
None, really. They will puncture if you run over a nail or glass, but what won't?

Similar Products Used:
Conti GrandPrix 3000 - more susceptible to cuts and shorter life, but great ride.
