at Cycle Cave Favorite Ride: 2005 Ciocc Carbon Dragster Bike Setup: Pure climber: Campy Chorus carbon group; Topolino Carbon wheelset; FSA carbon compact crank; Time RXE carbon pedals; Vittoria Rubino foldables; Kestrel Carbon bars Summary: Ciocc is the legend, as it is with this super light and agile frame set. Firm, yet forgiving in the steepest of climbs. Rides like the pro frame it is. Leaves plenty of fuel in the tank at the end of any ride to finish hard. Balanced in a fast tuck downhill. Does exactly what you want, but don't over power it because it will surprise you and cost you a collar bone and some skin!! It's the second year Ciocc attempted their own production in carbon and they have succeeded over their first (very ugly) prototype. Very sexy look with the old logo font with white paneling over the raw carbon mesh. I'm in love! Strengths: Stays steady in hard climbs (7%-8% grade) yet can turn around and really scream in a tight tuck, staying balanced and true. Reduces fatigue greatly on its jockey. Weaknesses: Very scary in hard crosswinds during fast downhills (largely due to the high spoke count on the aero Topolino wheelset). Carbon scratches easily and the four stick-on decals on the stays peel off easily. Similar Products Used: 2005 Pinarello Galileo (Fassa Bortolo issue)
