Summary:
I've only had this computer for about 7 months now and it has performed horrible. It turns off sometimes for no reason and I have to take the battery out and put it back for it to work. It recently broke while I was riding in some drizzling rain.

Strengths:
cheap, easy to use

Weaknesses:
turned off for no reason, breaks if water comes near in

Price Paid:  $20.00 at LBS

Favorite Ride:
Any ride on open in good weather

Bike Setup:
Kestrel 200SCI with Ultegra and Mavic CXP-33's

Summary:
More reliable than the Vetta that was on the bike originally. Large display was easy to read and is reliable in DRY weather. However, reliability in wet weather is very poor. Even riding a wet road after a rain or riding in heavy mist will render it useless. This causes problems riding centuries or other rides where the rider is dependent on a cue sheet and mileage between points on the cue sheet. The problem can be cured if you remove the computer from the mount and wipe off the moisture from the contacts. But in a rainstorm you may not have anything dry to wipe it down and a few miles down the road the contacts get wet again causing it to quit. My old Echo J model was just as inexpensive and very reliable in wet weather.

Strengths:
Low price. Easy to install and use.

Weaknesses:
Useless in wet weather
