    Strength:

Its range of adjustment, confidence inspiring braking capacity.

    Weakness:

What some people may consider a heavy brake caliper

I've only heard that Shimano's road brakes are a little flimsy, I've never tried them. Some people may feel that having a component that is a little heavier than the status quo is unacceptable. When I first purchased these brakes I thought to myself that for their weight they better perform the way they look. Coming from a mountain bike I was accustomed to brakes that are instantaneous, thats the way I like it. Looking at road brakes doesnt inspire confidence, I'm glad I got the Record brakes because I've used them in many conditions and they work quit well. Braking capacity doesnt diminish terribly in the rain which speaks of the quality of the Campagnolo pads. My units are from 1999 I hear the 2000 Records are lighter, there are Ti parts on them.
