Price Paid:  $0.00

Favorite Ride:
Saanich

Bike Setup:
Custom steel, ultegra, DTSwiss

Summary:
These came installed on a set of used wheels that I bought. Supposedly 500 miles on the wheels/tires. The first ride I had 3 flats in 15 km. Luckily I had a buddy with me to replace the tube the 3rd time. I came home and threw them in the garbage.

Strengths:
how can you tell if they only last 15 km?

Weaknesses:
low durability

Similar Products Used:
Vittoria Rubino Pro
Vittoria Diamante Pro Lite
Michelin ProRace2

Price Paid:  $0.00 at Bike Rack, Omaha, NE

Favorite Ride:
Trek Madone 5.2

Bike Setup:
Trek Madone 5.2

Summary:
Bought these after wearing out my stock Bontrager Race X Lites and researching many other options, included GP 4000. I've only put a few hundred miles on them so far, but they live up to the hype! 180 lb rider averaging 350 race/training miles week.

Strengths:
Super comfortable and fast. Unbelievable ride quality.

Weaknesses:
These things were almost impossible to mount. I broke a tire tool and had to soap the rim to get them on. Would not want to change a tube on the side of the road. Mounted to Bontrager Race Lite Rims.

Similar Products Used:
Bontrager Race X Lite Tires. The Open Corsa is MUCH more comfortable at 120 PSI and seems just as fast.

Price Paid:  $65.00 at LBS

Bike Setup:
KHS Flite w/ 105

Summary:
Like most reviews posted, I will confirm the same ideas. Tires feel amazingly fast and soft at the same time. Low rolling resistance and a smooth ride. Absorb road vibrations well and have great cornering grip.

I've used them for a few hundred Km's and I've experienced 3 rear flats. :( I only weight 150 pounds and I'm careful of road debris etc.

An earlier poster said it best "its like criticizing the impracticality of a ferrari."

Strengths:
Great road feel
Great cornering grip and confidence
Low rolling resistance
Soft supple ride

Weaknesses:
More time changing Flats than riding.
$$$$$$ Expensive

Price Paid:  $40.00 at Probikekit

Bike Setup:
CAAD 9
Dura Ace
Ksyrium ES

Summary:
Had these put on my CAAD9 in January and got to say they roll great for every day riding and racing. At 210 pounds however the rear needed replacing after 1400 miles. Developed numerous nicks and slashes and thought it best to be safe than sorry and replaced the rear with a Rubino Pro (which I inflate to 135 psi)....on the other hand the front looks like I just bought it off the shelf. In perfect condition after 1500 miles! Had to say if I will go back to a full set of Evo's, particulalry hearing mates never getting flats and over 3000 miles on one set of other branded tyres

Strengths:
Fantastic rolling (noticable even after changing the rear to Rubino Pro)

Weaknesses:
Durability and Price

Similar Products Used:
Rubino Pro

Price Paid:  $60.00 at Everywhere LBS, Perf

Favorite Ride:
Winter ride through the marin headlands

Bike Setup:
2 bikes:
Pegoretti palasanto with 10speed chorus/centaur and campy proton wheels. Record carbon bottom braket
Kuota Kharma with 9 speed chrous/centaur mix with campy proton wheels. Carbon crank and chorus BB. Diacompe BRS400 brakes--upgrading to 10 speed soon.

Both with vittoria Corsa tires

Summary:
I don't care if these are "race day only" tires I ride them ALL YEAR ALL THE TIME because nothing, and I mean, nothing I have ridden feels as good as these. I have never ridden tubulars but I think these are the closest thing. I do not have a problem with flats, they flat when they get well worn but I have put many a mile on them without a problem. The cx's do seem better. The kevlar works for me. And I am a 200 pound rider not know for my finesse.

No don't last long but longer than I expect. My only grip is the cost--gosh they are expensive.

I have ridden nearly every iteration of these since the late nineties--still have a set of worn out open marios hanging in the garage. I try other tires in the hopes of finding something better but never do. Maybe I will try the diamontes to see if I can capture 95% of the magic at 90% of the cost--nah, not worth it.

Strengths:
Smooth fast ride with great handling. Other tires make me feel I am pedaling through cement, these roll so easily. Great on the down hills (guys who cant climb learn to descend)

Weaknesses:
they don't last and are expensive. I can live with it. This is a hobby
