Price Paid:  $80.00 at Performance Cary, NC

Bike Setup:
2004 Giant OCR1

Summary:
I upgraded from the stock Giant OCR1 saddle after suffering from a lot of discomfort. This was the saddle recommended by the salesperson. After a long ride where I was numb more times than not I have finally written this saddle off. The rides I do are basically between 30-40 miles so I'm not doing super long distance rides. After reading the reviews I purchased a Koobi and enjoyed a numb free ride. My fingers are crossed I've finally found the right saddle.

Weaknesses:
This saddle caused a lot of numbness and pain. With so many other choices out there, steer away from this one.

Price Paid:  $64.00 at eBay

Favorite Ride:
Many

Bike Setup:
Carbon frame, Dura-Ace components

Summary:
I weigh 225lbs so for me to sit on a saddle for more than an hour is painful. Of all the saddles I've ridden on, Terry seems to have the most comfortable I've found. I rode the STP (Seattle to Portland) which is over 200 miles in one day and had almost no pain. These saddles are not designed to be the lightest but the most comfortable at the best weight possible. Spending $300 for a carbon saddle is the same as sitting on a brick doesn't work for me.

Strengths:
Light weight- (240 grams)
Strong- (I've ridden over 8000 miles with mine and I weight 225lbs)
durable- It looks new even now

Weaknesses:
None

Price Paid:  $100.00 at LBS

Favorite Ride:
today's

Bike Setup:
Scott alu, Ultegra, Cane Creek wheels.

Summary:
Bought this saddle about 1-month into road cycling when I noticed the "boyz" getting numb during rides > 30 miles. Seems like I could never get completely comfortable on it, and always thought about replacing it. But after 2 years and about 5500 miles on it, including multiple centuries where my butt felt fine, I'm actually going to buy another one. The leather on the original is finally coming apart where my thigh rubs it. So while it isn't perfect for me and doesn't "disappear" under me it does allow me to ride >6 hours in reasonable comfort. Quality is top-notch, and the "boyz" are happy...the cut-out really works well. Also, it definitely took some of the harshness out of the ride of my stiff alu frame. Recommended.

Strengths:
Quality, durability, cut-out for your junk, reasonably comfortable.

Weaknesses:
Wish it lasted a bit longer before the leather tore.

Bike Setup:
Roubaix Pro frame, Mavic Elite wheelset, Ultegra 10 sp triple.

Summary:
I had been suffering with a Specialized Avatar saddle on my new Roubaix Pro for over a month when I finally gave up. I had used an earlier model Avatar on my previous bike ('83 Bianchi Limited) with much less discomfort, but the more upright riding position on the Roubaix placed more pressure on the sitbones. I had intense pain on my sitbones which started almost immediately into a ride. I purchased a Terry Fly based on the positive reviews on this forum and had a fantastic pain free ride first time out!

Strengths:
NO PAIN! Quality construction, leather covering is smooth enough to allow easy movement on the saddle.

Weaknesses:
None yet
