Price Paid:  $140.00 at Mike's Sportz Outdoo

Favorite Ride:
Tour de Rio Grande, ABQ, NM

Bike Setup:
Stock Specialized Roubaix Expert Ultegra

Summary:
My Specialized Roubaix Ultegra came with a seat similar to this one. Not terribly comfortable and worse, it started squeak. No one wants to ride with a squeaker! Took it back to dealer, who traded it out for this model. Same problem.

The issue appears to be my size (210 lbs) and the way the rail suspension is secured: they just slide in little metal brackets. I've tried lubing them with various products to no avail. Appears to me to be a design issue common to this type of saddle.

Will be looking at other manufacturers. Any advice?

Strengths:
Materials, weight, channel design, cosmetic appearance

Weaknesses:
SQUEAKS!!! Might not be an issue for a flyweight. Not planning on breaking 200 lbs for another 6 months and won't keep saddle long enough to experiment. Not terribly comfortable after 3 hours.

Price Paid:  $99.00 at LBS

Favorite Ride:
anything

Bike Setup:
Devinci Silverstone SL4

Summary:
i had a hard time trying to find a good road saddle, i tried using my mtb saddle on the road but didnt work even though was great on the mtb, so after trying a couple other brands i went and got measured and gave this a try, just amazing, i didnt even think about it on the first ride, no pain, no numbness, still same comfort after 3 months, saddles are personal so only way ur gonna find the right one is trying different ones, specialized may be onto something with the whole measurement thing, give it a try, worked for me

Strengths:
comfortable! custom sizes, reasonable weight 250g

Weaknesses:
hard to find a good price, not available on many online stores (then again you wouldnt be able to do the measuring thing online)

Price Paid:  $85.00 at ebay

Favorite Ride:
Up to the Stump

Bike Setup:
Windsor Kennet from Bikesdirect.com. (10-speed Ultegra, bumper to bumper) Switched out the crank for a 180mm Dura-ace. Presently has Crank Quattro pedals. I switch wheels, tires, cassettes depending on the day.

Summary:
Recommended by the expert who fitted my bike. I bought it because they come in widths, and I usually take an extra large in just about everything. So I bought the wide one. It works fine. I've never had saddle problems in the first place. After the first few days I forgot all about it.

Strengths:
Comes in widthes.

Weaknesses:
I would prefer a smooth surface. It has too many designs -- embossed plastic, embroidery, etc. It hasn't caused a problem yet, but isn't that going to wear out my shorts faster?

Similar Products Used:
The el-cheapo that came with my bike. I thought it was fine except my expert/bikefitter recommended the Specialized.

Price Paid:  $60.00 at specialized.com

Bike Setup:
giant OCR, scott CR1 fork, syntace aerobars, DT 1450 wheels, mix of various components (always changing) ultegra, truvativ, and bontrager

Trek SLR frame, XT drivetrain, Fox F-80 RLC, BB7

Summary:
Worst saddle I have ever owned. Glad I paid clearance price for it, but even then, a regrettable purchase. Too much thought was put into the buzz words for this saddle and not enough thought into design quality or manufacturing quality. TI rails, carbon body, BG shape. There is almost no padding at all. I rarely have a problem with numbness, and this was no exception, in that respect I will agree with the other reviews. I have quite the opposite problem; this saddle makes me quite sore after only about 30 mins of riding. It is the only saddle I have ever owned that I wear padded shorts with. I ended up taking it off my road bike and putting it on my MTB. It’s not as bad on the MTB because I’m out of the saddle more, and the width/shape gives me enough clearance to drop my hips behind the saddle when the situation calls for that.

Strengths:
not super heavy, though i'm not hugely concerned with the weight of my saddle, so i don't really care.

Weaknesses:
Very Uncomfortable
Over priced
Rails are not firmly attached causing saddle shifting and squeaking
This also is causing the retainer for the rails to break down way too fast
Fabric breaking down surprisingly fast around top seams

Favorite Ride:

Bike Setup:
Scott Alu, Ultegra, Cane Creek wheels

Summary:
Bought this when my Terry Fly Ti wore through. I liked the Terry but it just never seemed to fit me right...always hurt just a little bit. I'm 165, and got the 143mm Alias, and have thus far put about 200 miles on it. At first the saddle felt very hard and I thought I was in trouble. Then about 5 miles into the first ride it started to hurt the sitbones and I thought "this isn't going to work". Then it stopped hurting...on the first ride. Subsequent rides have been even more comfortable as I get the position tweaked, and last night I didn't even feel the saddle...first time I have ever experienced this. I will say that I have been keeping the miles down to give the body time to adjust, limiting rides to 30-35 miles, but I am very impressed with this saddle. I'm using BG products now on my hands, feet, and under the bum and have never felt better on the bike. It's still early, but I think I'm really going to like this saddle.

Strengths:
Reasonably light, very well designed, and comfortable.

Weaknesses:
Tad pricey like all the BG stuff, but well worth the money if it makes one more comfortable.
