Price Paid:
$0.00 Summary: Impressed with Wind protection, fit and performance with perspiration management.
However, within weeks the collar started to burr and there is also burring on the back of the jacket - this has not happened with any other jersey i have owned even ones costing 1/3 of the price.
Within months the jersey looks really old despite caring as per instructions.
This is only the 2nd Assos product I have owned and neither have presented even mediocre value for money. Buy two of the cheaper jerseys instead.
Spend your money on Strengths: Wind protection, fit and comfort. Weaknesses: Material burring in several places - wear apparent after a few rides!

at CompetitiveCyclist Summary: This is a premium quality long sleeve jersey. Materials used and craftsmanship is fantastic, front of the jersey has airblock that really works, at 25 mph at 50 degree temperature I did not feel the air at all, and then at 45 mph downhill air did not go thru also. So this is I say about between 42-60F temperature range jersey. I recommend to wear base layer underneath the jersey for better comfort if the weather get warms your chest will sweat a lot as there is no air penetration. Euro sizes is smaller than US sizes, I wear US M but Euro L this is because Americans are fatter so companies here alter the sizing for psychological marketing purpose. I recommend this jersey but it is expensive. Jersey is more comfortable in riding position that standing up.
Strengths: Quality, workmanship, design and killer looks Weaknesses: expensive

Price Paid:
$180.00
at Gearlink Favorite Ride: Fast Bike Setup: Trek 5500 Summary: Great upgrade from the previous Intermediate Jersey, the chest area is covered with the Aiblock 799 fabric, the underneath fabric on the arms is breathable and lycra on the upper, shoulders and neck. There are 3 bags and one zippered. The arms are contoured and the fit is plain great, I think it can be weared on cool and warm days, don't try it in hot (higher than 80F) you'll be cooking your chest. One thing I love about Assos is that once on the bike you'll forget about it, it's like if they just dissappear, you'll never see a piece of fabric waving on the air (if completelly zippered) or felt a bunch of clothing on any area, the fit is that great. If you need to grab/place something from/to the back pockets they are very easy to access. The price is always a not so good field for Assos, but you can always find fair deals and on this case you really get what you pay for and a little more. Strengths: Light, comfortable, it can be used as a base layer Weaknesses: Don't use it as a base layer is too nice to be covered. Similar Products Used: Assos Intermediate Jersey
