at peddlers west Model Year: 2007 Favorite Ride: pch Bike Setup: chorus group, reynolds attack wheels, fsa k wing carbon bar, zipp 145 stem, zero gravity brakes, zipp titanium skewers, selle smp stratos saddle, fsa force seatpost, michelin pro race 3 tires. Summary: this review is for the 2009 orca as well.i wanted something lighter than my previous bike which was a pinarello f4:13, so i figured id give the orca a go, being that i love bikes with character, curves.though i purchased this as a frameset, and custom built it, so far im a little dissapointed so far. its been good, i took it on a ride the solvang prelude here in calif. it performed great, it climbs like it has a motor attached. though i think my pinarello, was faster on the flats. i think for an all around bike i should"ve went with the cervelo sl.and it doesnt make things better that i paid 2,300 for the frameset, and i see them on ebay brand new going for 1,700 or 1,800 hundred, and dropping fast it seems like. ouch! Strengths: if your a climber, this is yor bike. a+++ in that dept. Weaknesses: not as aero, and fast on flats. Similar Products Used: pinarello f4:13, specialized sworks.

at LBS Model Year: 2007 Bike Setup: Red groupo, Reynolds Attack wheels, FSA handlebars and seatpost Summary: This review is for the 09 Orca frameset. First off let me tell you that it looks awesome! Mine is flat black with white lettering. This frame is stiff, light, and easy on the eyes. I have only had it for a few weeks but have only good things to say about it. I am coming off an older Giant TCR and wow what a difference. It climbs like a mountain goat and decends like no other. Built up it weighed in at 15.4 lbs with pedals. Not bad for a size 57 frame. Again sweet bike and would recommend to anyone that is looking for a high performance frameset and a fair price. Strengths: looks, weight, strength (stiff), looks:) Weaknesses: none so far but am curious how well the paint job will hold up against rock chips and normal wear and tear Similar Products Used: Litespeed, Cervelo, Giant, QR, and Cannondale

at Rock 'n Road Cyclery Model Year: 2007 Favorite Ride: Watching others suffer on hills. Bike Setup: Dura Ace
Mavic Ksyrium ES wheelset Summary: I bought the 2007 Orca (white) because I had been dreaming of the bike since I first saw it. It doesn't disappoint. Every since I got on it, I have been able climb hills easier and it descends like crazy. It's planted at over 40 MPH. I will have to wait till the next step hill, but I figure it should be good to over 50 MPH. My fastest was only 45 MPH. I don't feel an BB movement that most of the negatives have stated, but then again, I weigh 148 lbs and ride a 51 cm frame. Overall, this bike does what it was designed to to, go fast up hill, down hill, and on flat ground. And it changes direction quick, so look out. Strengths: Weight
Stiffness of frame
Direction changing
Price (face to to get a Pinarello or Scott or other high end bike, you can end up pay 1 to 3 thousand more for just the frame, Orbea's frame price is reasonable) Weaknesses: Frame creaks a little under hard acceleration. Similar Products Used: Cannondale R800 with Shimano 105 and Mavice CXp 23 hubs
Time Edge Racer with Dura Ace, FSA SLK Crank, and Mavic Ksyrium ES wheelset

at Action Wheels Woodbu Favorite Ride: My first and only so far.... Bike Setup: SRAM Red Everywhere
Mavic R-Sys
Zeus Cat-III Carbon Seat Post
Easton EC-70 Stem (Didn't have the right size Zeus)
Zeus Carbon Bars
DA Peddles
Specilized Toupe Saddle Summary: I've only had one ride so far but what an experience it was!! I'll be taking it with me to Europe and will try to take it and myself to our limits. Was looking for the flex in the BB others have been saying, didn't notice it on the demo ride or my other ride. Seems to go when I want it to yet very comfortable over rough surfaces.
Strengths: Weight and Looks Weaknesses: Price, obviously would have been easier to swallow without Red. I did get hooked-up by Action Wheels, was originally 6250. They took the 1,000 off to get me to take the one they had in the store. Was originally looking for an '08, can't beat the price with the setup I have... at least in my area. Similar Products Used: 2004 Giant TCR
Dura Ace everywhere
Mavic Krysium Elite
