    Price Paid:  $800.00 at Ebay

    Favorite Ride:
    Haleakala Crater, Maui Hawaii

    Bike Setup:
    Look 585/Dura Ace

    Summary:
I don't understand the complaints about these wheels-- folding them etc-- I've ridden my ES' for a year now and they are rock solid. My toughest ride with them was up the Haleakala Crater on Maui. This was a 3.5 hr (yes yes, I'm far from the record of 2hrs 36min) climb to 10,023ft and the wheelset handled like a gem. They were rigid and yet comfortable. On the way down (fastest speed was 74.9KPH), they didn't fail to impress.

    Strengths:
Stiff, great for sprinting and climbing.

    Weaknesses:
    None

    Favorite Ride:

    Bike Setup:
2008 Jamis Team (Stock off of shelf)Look Carbon Keo Pedals, Sella Italia SLC saddle

    Summary:
Terrible service from Mavic and its dealer in VA.
Would not recommend this wheel set to anyone.
Make sure your bike shop stocks plenty of the 3 different spokes required for the wheel set if you own these.

    Strengths:
    Look Great.

    Weaknesses:
I am a 160 lb. rider and had 640 miles on the wheels when I broke a spoke on the drive side of the rear wheel. Spokes cost $4 a piece and the only dealer within 100 miles did not stock them. I had to send the wheels back to the Distributor to get warranty repair of the wheel. If I want to have replacement spokes they only come in 10 packs and the front and rear require 3 different length spokes.

    Price Paid:  $750.00 at Nashbar

    Favorite Ride:
    Rose Bowl, Pasadena

    Bike Setup:
2001 Shwinn Elite Fastback, Kysrium ES rear and Kysrium Elite front, Full Ultegra.

    Summary:
Great looking, light wheel that stays true. The reason I'm writing a review is that I just got hit by a car and the wheel only got knocked out of true for the first time. I'm also 230 lbs and haven't had any broken spokes, so I wanted to put in some positive words. The tech at my local shop says he rides the same wheels and I didn't buy it from him, so there's no reason for him to be telling me a story.

    Strengths:
    Tough, looks great, light-weight.

    Weaknesses:
Expensive retail price (I got lucky on a rear wheel from Nashbar)

    Price Paid:  $575.00 at backcountry.com

    Favorite Ride:
    Any ride

    Bike Setup:
Lemond Alpe D'Huez, SRAM mix (Red/Force/Rival), Ksyrium ES...er..no wheels as the ES are now in the graveyard.

    Summary:
Really loved them...until the front wheel folded in half on me over a relatively small bump at 15 mph... All of the reviews that talk about 'durability' and 'strength' - I don't really get it. Only had about 1,000 miles on them in 7 months or so...

    Strengths:
Light weight, good looks, fast rolling, stiff. Backcountry.com 100% guarantee.

    Weaknesses:
Whey they fail, they cause road rash...durability...now have little to no confidence in mavic...looking for another product.

    Summary:
They are overrated. Dont put more than 500$ on that.

    Strengths:
Stif, Stay true.. but I am just 155 lbs so it's not a reference.

    Weaknesses:
Clicking noise from the front wheel... looks like it came from the spoke.
