at Performance bike Bike Setup: On my cross bike. Summary: Nice shifters and a definte choice for the competive cyclist. Strengths: The ergonomics are the first thing you notice. These things fit your hands very very well. The under the bar routing of the cables produces a nice, cleean look. The rear shifter is on par with any shimano or campy product. Weaknesses: One big one is the amount of force needed to shift the front der. You have to have a little muscle there or it wont happen. Similar Products Used: 600 ultegra, campy chorus

at LBS with new bike Favorite Ride: The next one.. Bike Setup: Serotta, full Rival groupset Summary: These shifters have worked fairly well for 7000 miles but I will likely be replacing them this winter after only 2 seasons, which seems like a rather short lifetime for a product this expensive.
Both levers have the finish severely worn, I have never seen this with any other shifter. Basically my fingers wore right through the clearcoat.
One of the rubber hoods is cracking. These are cheap and easy to replace, but I have never had one crack within 25,000 miles before.
The return spring for the rear shifter needs to be replaced. Sometimes the lever will not return to position after a downshift. It may be possible to simply replace the spring but after 7000 miles I don't feel like shifter internals should need to be replaced. Strengths: The hoods are exceptionally comfortable.
The shifters are fairly easy to flush & re-lube. Weaknesses: Finish durability
Lever throw (particularly on the front shifter) is far too long & high effort compared to other shifters. Similar Products Used: Shimano DA, Ultegra, and 105.
