at Hawley's Model Year: 2007 Favorite Ride: Assault on Mt. Mitchell Bike Setup: Reynolds Solitude Wheels Summary: I purchased this Bike as a training/bad weather Bike to keep from cleaning my SuperSix and wearing it out. The Ride is what one would expect from a low end road bike. This Bike will get the job done and is comfortable enought if your doing a 80-100 mile ride, but more then that you'll feel it compaired to a top of the line carbon frame bike. The Bike is comfortable, reliable, and handles good enought to use it in a Crit. I only replaced the stock Shimano wheels with Reynolds Solitudes. Strengths: Price, Handling, reliability Weaknesses: Long rides, weight Similar Products Used: Trek 1000, Trek 470

at Olympia Cycle Model Year: 2007 Favorite Ride: 35 to 40 miles Bike Setup: Standard set from factory. Summary: Upgraded from a Hybride (Marin Lucas Valley. The upgrade was a result of up my miles and realizing that I was on the wrong bike for long fast road trips. My first choice was a Lemond. After a quick trip to the local dealer; who just as quickly advise me that the frame geometry would be all wrong for me. I then left looking at Trek, Marin, Devinci, Specialized and Cannondale. I went to my Marin dealer and he was much more interested in putting me on a 3500.00 Wilier than asking what I really wanted. A quick tour of a couple of other dealers and 1 bike fitting later. That was never offered or done by my Marin dealer. We now ride a Cannondale very happily. I must say that to upgrade to a road bike could have been a painful experience had it not been for the dealer. They spent a good deal of time fitting and letting me test ride over 2 days a few different bikes and brands. They are to be commended. The bike fits me properly I wasn't up sold and feel I have gotten great value for money spent; not mention a fine bike. Strengths: This is my first true road bike. I'm impressed with the ride. Much softer than I figured it would be. The shifters and gears sets are a wonderful step up. Weaknesses: None so.
