Strength:

Broad platform, excellent bearings, durable, fairly light weight

Weakness:

Cost. It's likely you can get near similar performanc from the Ultregra version. I wish they had another couple of degrees of float.

After having used several generations of Look pedals, and few different Speedplays, I've settled on Shimano's Dura Ace pedals. They simply surpass the others I've used in terms of durability and function. The cleats last significantly longer than Look's and don't require the maintenance of Speedplays. The stability of the cleat/pedal interface is much better than that of the Look's and of the Speedplay's. If the Dura Ace pedals had a another couple of degrees of float, they'd be near perfect.

Strength:

I am going out on a limb and rate these as the best pedal ever made in the world. Why: Because every Shimano Dura Ace product especially pedals are great. The Ulegras tend to wear too fast. 12000 km and they start to click and fart.

Weakness:

They could be prone to a little creaking on the shoe pedal interface.

I like these pedals. If you end up buying 2 of another quality over time it works out to the same cost.
