DESCRIPTION

The 2012 EMX-7 is the best of the best and the culmination of 32 years of pure innovation in race bicycle design. Eddy Merckx bicycles have been driven for decades to produce the ultimate light-weight road race frame that efficiently transfers every possible kilowatt of crank torque to the rear wheel. It's no easy feat to make this same frame comfortable enough to glide over jarring rutted streets for miles without sinking rider stamina. The Merckx EMX-7 is the pinnacle of that quest with unwavering tortional stiffness and reinforced carbon to deliver maximum power where it counts. Oversized monocoque tubes and beefy stays keep the bottom end ultra-stiff for climbing and the tapered headtube and aerodynamic fork crown allow stable high-speed decending. Materials are the finest available, with multiple layer 62-ton (per square millimeter) carbon reinforced with special carbon pitch fiber weaves. The goal is stiffness and pitch fibers deliver. Aerodynamic features such as internal cable routing, the aero seat tube and aero seat mast let wind flow past with little turbulence at high speeds while maintaining frame rigidity. Frameset Features -Frame, fork, headset and seatpost all included -Available sizes: 50XS, 52S, 54MS, 56M, 58L, 60XL -Available colors: White/black, red or matte black -Tapered Head Tube -Internal Cable Routing -Asymmetrical Chainstays -62HM 1K Carbon Fiber -BB 86 -Lifetime Warranty
