at Brick Wheels Favorite Ride: VASA Bike Setup: Trek OCLV Summary: The Magnetic unit is JUNK, put together with a wimpy pressed fitting. The unit was only slighty used and under moderate stress it had a meltdown just before the ajustment knob flew across the garage. NOT GOOD. Strengths: Nice red paint.

Price Paid:
$140.00 Favorite Ride: n/a Bike Setup: 2001 Giant TCR2 Summary: The first one began getting really noisy after about 2 months of steady use. My LBS sent it back to Blackburn (Bell) for a replacement. The replacement now is even noisier and the bearings seem to be going. Bell is going to refund my money. They were a pleasure to deal with. The trainer worked ok, but if you're spending $150 on a tool, which is really what this device is, it should last a long, long time. Strengths: Customer service is excellent. Unit is sturdy. It's cheaper than other trainers, but.... Weaknesses: ... you get what you pay for, I guess. Did not hold up. Why can't someone design a bullet-proof trainer that won't cost you an arm and a leg???
