Strengths:    Gears-gears-gears. Smooth shifting PLANETARY gearset within the rear hub.
Fat, comfortable seat. Good seating position. Beautiful. Attracts attention wherever it sits.

Weaknesses:    No built in cooler.
I see no weaknesses

Bottom Line:
After considerable research on a fendered/fat seat/upright bars/fat tires/just like my Western Flyer when I was 12 bike, I settled on the Raleigh. The trick was to find one. Seems that they are sold out for 2002 and the factory has dropped the nexus 7 for 2003. If America knew how good this bike is, there would be a 2 year waiting list. We should all clamor to the factory to bring it back. The low price I paid was because it was a carrier -damaged 2001 on which they had to install a new fork.

Strengths:    FUN !! Nexus shifting is matinence free. Coaster brake works well for a 250lb. guy. Looks great, ride is amazing, like a Caddie on 2 wheels.

Weaknesses:    just weight, but if you want a beach cruiser it goes with the territory. Some people may not like a coaster brake

Bottom Line:
If your looking for a beach cruiser, don't pass up looking at this bicycle. I am very glad to have purchased it, and would recommend this bike to anyone. This is the first bike I am worried might actually get stolen.
