Price Paid:  $850.00 at Homewood Cycle and Fitness

Bike Setup:
Shimano 600 bar end shifters, crankset(38,46) sachs quartz rd, D/a fd,Rolf vector wheels, ritchey tires, avocet seat, thomson seatpost, salsa t-less stem, icon bar, King headset, lx canti brakes, time atac pedals, waterford steel cyclocross fork

Summary:
the combo of the frame and fork is the best in the industry. Any company looking at improving their cross design should take notes from Waterford.

Strengths:
This bike is the ultimate all-rounder. Off road it is the best handling cross frame out there. I've tried over a dozen cross bikes and this one by far is the best. I liked it so much that I sold my mtn bike because I ride this one all the time. When I cracked my famous maker carbon road frame last year, I raced a crit on it and loved every minute of it. I frequently do road rides on it and enjoy it as much, if not more than my road bike.

Weaknesses:
none

Price Paid:  $850.00 at Homewood Cycle & Fitness

Bike Setup:
Ritchey Logic Crankset (38/48), ITM Stem, Cinelli Bars, Dia Comp Brake Levers, Avid Canti Brakes, Campy Record Bar End Shifters, Campy Racing Triple RD, Shimano FD, Rolf Wheels, Vittoria Cross Tires, Thompson Post, Avocett O2 Saddle

Summary:
The price paid was for the frameset only. I have built the bike up with a selection of parts I had and some that I have purchased.

For what I would call "old school" steel, that being Reynolds 531, this frameset is a pleasure to ride. Waterford has certainly done their homework when it comes to the geometry of the frameset. Quality of build is superb! Alignment of frame was perfect and has remained so through many miles of single track, pavement and the occasional cross race.

Waterford proves that they are not just another "Me Too" frame builder of cross frames. I highly recommend this frameset for anyone who doesn't want to drop a lot of cash. All your friends will think you paid a whole lot more when you dust them in the next race anyway!

Strengths:
Quality of build, Cross-Specific Details, Price

Weaknesses:
A tad heavy but...
