Strengths:    Comfortable riding position. Headshock and shock in the seat and gelseat make it a smooth ride.

Weaknesses:    Is not great on rough trails.

Bottom Line:
After having back surgery, I needed to give up my english racer for a smoother ride. I purchased my Silkpath and added the Headshock lockout. I live in the Cumberland Mountains and ride where there are varying types of road conditions and trails. The Silkpath is great in town, on the mountain roads and can take a mild trail comfortably.

Strengths:    Very comfortable riding position. Mostly good quality components. It's very smooth on road and a good all purpose bike.

Weaknesses:    Without the Head Shock lock out feature, this bike tends to bounce when pedeling standing up. The brake levers feel cheap.

Bottom Line:
After having my Cannondale M1 stolen from the garage, I was in need of a new bike. I really wanted a Cannondale Bad Boy Ultra but it was well out of my price range. After having tried some of the other Cannondale road and mountain bikes at the shop, I found this one brand new tucked into the corner of the shop, still brand new. I gave it a try and loved it! I didn't think I would like the grip shift but I've grown to really like it and these seem better than the other ones I've found. Since I do most of my riding on the street, I like that this came with real road tires rather than mountain bike tires. It's a great multi-purpose bike that rides great on the street yet I can take it on mild off road trails at the forest preserve comfortably.
