at The Bicycle Place Bike Setup: 22" CAAD2 frame (large), Shimano STX RC hubs, Sun AT 18, 32 hole wheels, Continental Top Touring 2000 700x35c, Shimano LX-front, Shimano XT-rear, Sram Quarz 9 shifters, Shimano Nexave BR-T300 brakes, Avid 1.9 brake levers, Seatpost Polygone PM-900 suspension, CODA Headshock Silk Path D fork 25mm travel with on-the-fly lockout Summary: Top of the line hybrid, solid quality, solid components, solid value if you're a serious rider who can't afford or doesn't want both a top-end road bike and a top-end mountain bike. Strengths: Well set up geometry and solid blend of high-end CODA and Shimano components including seat post and front suspension make this 27 speed a fast, comfortable, hybrid that is as comfortable as a high speed long distance tourer (that can keep up with all but the most serious roadies) as it is off-road except for extreme banging. As a former serious "roadie" when in my teens and twenties, now passing "thirtysomething" age with children riding on-road and off-road now, this is a quality fit. Weaknesses: A hybrid is a hybrid! If you want top-end road speed you need 700x23 wheels and rubber not 700x35. If crashing down a mountain is your thing, go get a mountain bike. For everything else, this one is a "practical" dream.
