Strengths:    Light aluminium frame, comfortable, versatile gearing, well balanced, a quality product.

Weaknesses:    A bit slow on the road, needs suspension forks for the rough stuff.

Bottom Line:
This is a thoroughly enjoyable bike to ride. After arriving home after a two to three hour ride I could go out again for another two hours. The bike is well balanced and made and seems to be able to handle a fair level of harsh treatment without any problems. Front suspension forks would have been nice for the rough stuff. It seems equally at home on the road as well as dirt trails were the gearing can handle most situations - even deep beach sand.

Strengths:    Relatively lightweight aluminum frame, sturdy, very comfortable.

Weaknesses:    Don't ask too much from it, and you're fine.

Bottom Line:
Having not been on a bike for about 15 years, comfort was important, this is why I chose a managable bike with a suspension seat post. After a couple of months of getting used to it (and rediscovering my balance, etc), this bike came to seem very slow. Standing up to muscle it up a hill makes it groan from every corner. High gears grunt and grind.
That being said, this bike wasn't designed for the ride I'm asking it for. IF you're going to use it for short trots or family trial rides, it's really a terrific, well-made bike. It pulls two children in a Burley trailer, no problem. But if you want to get out and go fast, you know, like you did at 17?... get a straight road bike, or a tourer.
For now, it's great fun!
