Strengths: FrameWeaknesses: Every other component. GT's current commuter product the Transeo 2.0 Disc is not available, forcing me to buy a Trek insteadBottom Line: After 7 years and 19,000 miles the frame finally broke. I literaly rode this bike to death. For the price I paid, I have nothing to complain about.

Strengths: shiftingWeaknesses: rust (ocean bike, after all)Bottom Line: My wife needed a bike. We live on flat ground, but there are hills around.
It had '700' size tires, or something. Bigger than 26".
It shifts very well. It's pretty light.
And.......she now sits upright. She ain't racing, after all.

Strengths: I enjoy riding the bike. It is easy to go uphill. It was easy to attach a rack for carrying things. I like the large size.Weaknesses: I have had problems with the gears. Have problem shifting up in front gears. Rear sprocket broke. Seat material comming off.Bottom Line: Generally I enjoy riding this bike. I have had some problems with shifting, and once one of the cogs in the back gears broke. Seat material also started to eat away. All problems fixed under warranty.

Strengths:
Comfort, ease of motionWeaknesses:
ColorBottom Line: Quite frankly I bought this bike because I was looking for a machine that was super comfortable and one that would allow me to pedal upright instead of in a hunched over position. With the GT Slipstream I found my bike! Super comfy bike, great on the sidewalk. Shifts like a dream and has a big super comfy seat for my big bum. What more could a girl ask for??? The frame is sleek and handsome. The only thing I don't like about these line of bikes is the colors. Mine is a sliver grey and frankly I was looking for something a bit more exciting. But if your like me and looking for comfort, ease of use and just a bike that is for us normal types who don't bike as an avocation but just to tool around, the GT Slipstream or any of their hybids are for you.

Strengths:
Suspension seatpost and padded saddle for an extra comfy ride. Smooth easy grip shifters.Able to tackle the steepest hills with ease.Weaknesses: NoneBottom Line: Bike was very comfortable and rode very smoothly even over packed trails. Shifting was effortless and performed magnificently on steep climbs. My ass was not sore after a long ride (saddle and seatpost took the bumps very well). I would recommend this bike over all the other hybrids in its class.
