Strengths: Comfortable, easy to ride, gears easy to learn (for someone's whose last bike was an old Ross 10-speed), durable, great "first" bike, light (I carry mine in and out of the house, up and down steps!) Versatile on road and paths.
Weaknesses: Get rid of the seat....I tried 6 before I settled on a Serfas (for women). Some initial adjusting and re-adjusting of gears (cheerfully adjusted each time by the store.)Bottom Line: GREAT all-around recreation bike for the money! We were fortunate to have great advice and help in making our selection. We soon determined that we preferred road biking, so we changed out the knobby tires to reduce friction and keep up with our "roadie" friends. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough, so we're buying road bikes now, but we're keeping the hybrids for neighborhood riding, family rides, and trips to Hilton Head! We've taken these on century rides (25-mile!), but could have done 50 on these bikes! This bike is for you if 1) money is a consideration, 2) you have no desire to race at breakneck speeds (over 25 mph - I'll just watch Lance on TV, thank you!), 3) you probably won't bike over 50 miles at a time (probably less if you don't change that seat!), 4) you hate going to the gym, but like/need to exercise, 5) you are intimidated by the drop-handles on the road bikes, 6)have no plans to mountain bike where mountain goats fear to tread, and 7) want a great all-around bike for recreation riding and short club rides! Enjoy!

Strengths: NoneWeaknesses: NoneBottom Line:
My GF just purchased this bike, as her first adult bike. I have been out of the new-bike circuit for some years, and was truly surprised at what we got for her less-than-300 dollars. She got an all-aluminum frame; a suspended seatpost
(albeit an entry-level knockoff); Weinmann Alloy rims; V-brakes (steel, not alloy). As usual, the hubs, BB, tires, and pedals are not name-brand parts, but they appear smooth, and they should be fine for light-duty commuting and errands. We did have the pedals swapped for some standard Wellgo's with a metal
body, instead of the resin ones shipped with the bike. All in all, 5 years ago, she would have had to pay double for the same level of componentry. I rate it 3.5 chilies for value, and I'll give it the extra .5 for
the general fit and finish. We may see 5 out of this one depending on how well
it holds up to New Orleans uptown streets! :)
