Price Paid:
$0.00 Summary: I love this bike. I took it as a touring bike when I rode down from San Francisco and Los Angeles. Took it on dirt trails. Despit all that, it still works well despite my lack of care for it. However, despite never professionally tuned it lasted me well for 4 years before sorta coming to it's end these past few years. Frames still holding up after a few crashes and the wear and tell of a road trip. Strengths: Sturdy, parts lasted for many years. Weaknesses: Good for what it is a hybrid. Shifting on the front dereullirs (spelling) was problematic.

at a pawn shop Favorite Ride: Green River Trail Bike Setup: Stock. The only thing I'm changing are the pedals. Going to the clip-ins. Summary: I came across the Trek 720 by accident. I frequent pawn shops for diamonds in the rough. Knowing the Trek name, I knew this bike had potential. It is in excellent shape and I pretty much stole it at the price I paid. This bike will be my conditioning bike because I mainly mountain bike. Strengths: Light weight. A geometric frame It's a perfect size. Weaknesses: None. I'm not a racer and so far my longest road trip has been 33 miles. The only review I need is how the bike performs for me, not the dislikes someone else has about it. Similar Products Used: other road bikes and mountain bikes

Price Paid:
$350.00 Favorite Ride: Long Isalnd-North Shore Bike Setup: Stock 720 with Nashbar bar ends, Nashbar "anatomic" seat. Velo cyclocomputer. Summary: This bike was purchased to replace my 20+ year old "10 speed". I ride 20-25 miles at a pop on sometimes challenging/ hilly terrain, all road use not off road. I love the bike. It is comfortable, reliable and aside from routine maintenance, I haven't adjusted the derailluers in 4 years and they still work flawlessly. Not bad for a bike under 400 bucks. Strengths: Great for the price, cro moly frame more comforable albeit heavier than aluminum. Perfect for 10-40 mile rides. Weaknesses: Neno worth mentioning.

| | Favorite Ride: White Memorial, Litchfield, CT Bike Setup: Stock Summary: Have this 2000 model for about a month and put on 100 miles. Good entry level choice for casual road and dirt riding. Great entry level city bike. The thinner invert tires make a big difference over knobby tires on road, but not as good for deep sand and mud. Compared against a similar Trek aluminum and like the feel of the Cro-Moly better (and saved dollars).
This bike is not for a serious road or mountain bike rider, but would recommend for city commuting and dirt road riders. Strengths: Price to quality ratio. Suspension seat post. Stiff responsive. Comforable and very adjustable. 700C wheels. Invert tires. Weaknesses: Smaller diameter handlebars and post. Derailuers need adjustment. 1st and 2nd gears of SunRace cassette too far apart, 10 teeth. Eventually will replace with a better spaced cassette. Similar Products Used: Trek 7200, Cannondale
