Strengths: Excellent bike for the money. Not the lightest or fastest but certainly an excellent choice for budget or new roadies.Weaknesses: None found so far.Bottom Line: The R500-T is first real road bike for me. At 57, I am new to biking (also bought a mountain bike recently) so I wanted something reasonably priced, with a "granny" chainring, forgiving and zippy enough to make me feel, well, younger. So far, the R500 has lived up to those expectations. I like the feel of the Shimano Tiagra components. The stem was a bit long but REI took care of this easily. If I can get enough training miles in, this bike will take me on Cycle Oregon in Sept 2002!
