Strengths: Components work flawlessly. Great climbing geometry. Good for tall men that like to stretch out. Rolf wheels comes with lasted many many many miles and the first three crashes.Weaknesses: Seat, get a new one immediately. Small head tube diameter will allow a wobble if you don't stabilize it with your knees.Bottom Line: This bike was my first new bike and not scrambled together from a mish-mash of my racing friend's cast offs. So when I bought it, for myself as a year old floor model and discounted $300, I bought it. The only modification was a flight deck interative computer and I rode this thing into the ground for three years. I am 6' 3" and 218 when I bought it. It was in preperation of a sprint triathalon (that I won in my age category and the 'clydesdale over 200#' category.) Now I weigh in <195 pounds, happier and no longer married to the couch. Two years ago 2005, I received my replacement: handmade Vanilla. The LeMond is heavy-ish feeling. Yet, the seat being very far back has been conducive to my riding/climbing style. I can actually perform better on long climbs on the Zurich than the Vanilla. I think it is because of the seating being so far back and feels more like a quad let extention machine than a bicycle. The carbon forks take out a substantial amount of road noise. It sprints well with little bottom bracket flex, and chainstays don't flex much. Off the rack is shifted well and ran forever with little maintenance to the drivetrain in several years. Quite an accomplishment considering how much rain we get in Oregon. Another consideration is durability in a race environment: this bike has been crashed three times. It held up and I still ride it when the rain suggests fenders. A great bike, super purchase, helped me upgrade from a novice to a cat 3. The price is perfect as each gram saved costs at least $3/gram drop from here.... seriously. Still a great buy if you can find one used.

Strengths: Me on it. I've hardly touched my mountain bike in 2 seasons, just eatin' up pavement. Quick and responsive and carbon fork smooths out the shocks. Did a 280km one day death ride this year. yea I hurt but it got me through. The purchase price is in Canadian Pesos which is why it's high.Weaknesses: rainy days when I'm not on it.Bottom Line: I LOVE THIS BIKE. I may have the 2000 model but I think little has changed. Beautiful ride and super responsive. No wobble on 100Km/hr descents. Not overly harsh on rough pavement. I've influenced at least 3 other purchases of this bike and they all love it. Ultegra grouppo is smooth and quick, easy to use and proving very durable. I have about 12,000 kms. on the bike.

Strengths: Good components (with the exceptions listed below). Steel frame is more forgiving and since I am a novice rider, that is important.Weaknesses: Seatpost sucks so I replaced it with a Thomson Elite. Also the saddle itself left a little to be desired so I replaced it with a new Selle Italia ProLink Gel. And the biggest problem is the paint. It chips EXTREMELY easy making for frequent touch ups.Bottom Line: An all around great bike. I am 6'4", 195 pounds and the steel frame is perfect. There is little to no flex with the exception of high speed decents (40 m.p.h.+). I bought the bike simply because they were the only ones that had a 61 cm frame for me to test ride and I immediately fell in love with it. I have rode almost 3,000 miles on it and have yet to have any mechanical trouble with it.

Strengths: Relaxed setup, strong frame, wheelset. It just all works together! Cosmetics are great also. Quiet drive train.Weaknesses: I love the Rolf wheels, but hate the skewers, they're not exactly quick change.Bottom Line: Drop your favorite pedals on this and go! I'm 6'3", 195# and ride many 'a flat windy country road and this bike does the trick. No flex when I get a chance to ride the hills, and very comfortable for all else.
