Strengths:    Weight, handling, and climbing ability.
The fact that TI had a lifetime 7 times
greater than aluminum. This will last a long time

Weaknesses:    None yet.

Bottom Line:
A climbing machine. The compact geometry makes this thing fly up climbs and is very responsive in crits and countering attacks. Because it's TI, it's light and
the road is felt very well beneath you. Excellent handling on decents.

Strengths:    Compact frame geometry is perfect for long torso or shorter legged people.

Ti - no frame worries about central new york road salt.

Handling and smooth ride.

Weaknesses:    None yet.

Bottom Line:
Agilis is such an accurate name - this bike is so agile. It accelerates and handles like a slalom ski on a glassed lake.

Date Reviewed: October 28, 2001

Strengths:    Weight, stiffness, comfort...I can't say enough about this frame. Equipped with a Reynolds carbon fork this bike is the ultimate!!

Weaknesses:    Cost...Frame/Fork retailed for $1,700.

Bottom Line:
The Merlin Agilis with it's compact frame design brings the comfort of a Ti frame together with the stifness of a steel frame. This bike climbs, accelerates, and sprints well and absorbs the the bumps in the road.
