Strengths: 1. Good components for a $1500 Italian road bike.
2. Soft and comfortable ride.
3. Sticks a turn amazingly!
4. Nice Vuelta saddle and nice ITM stem and handlebar combo.
5. Lugged steel construction is beautiful (retro-lovers will appreciate this) and keeps the temperatures down during the frame building process to ensure the integrity of the metal.
6. Good geometry for people with average-low torso lengths.Weaknesses: 1. The steel is a little heavy at 4.5lbs (frame weight).
2. Axial Sports (I will definately upgrade to Pro's as these wear out).
3. Campy Veloce instead of Daytona or higher.
4. No pump peg (Ok, now I'm looking for things).Bottom Line: I literally just got this bike and I absolutely LOVE IT! This is my first road bike, but I have ridden a few fairly high-end road bikes before. If I were to compare the ride of this bike to any of the bikes I have ridden before, it would be closest to the ride of the Mongoose Pro Ti bike series. The Italian steel on the Forma is a very soft and forgiving ride. This is the perfect bike for entry-level racing or someone who wants a softer ride for long commutes or long training miles.
