a Recreational Rider
from South Orange, NJ USADate Reviewed: November 1, 2002
Strengths: RIDE QUALITY, RIDE QUALTIY, RIDE QUALITY, COMFORT, HANDLING. I am 50 years old and I love this bike. Average about 60 miles a week. Have put around 5,000 miles on this and it rides great. Excellent components.Weaknesses: Had to replace rear shifter twice, but that's Shimano, not the bike. Plain black paint job looks OK but nothing special. Bike is not a super lightweight, but it's not too heavy either.Bottom Line: Excellent all around road machine for the serious recreational rider. Well balanced. VERY COMFORTABLE Reynolds 853 steel frame leaves you feeling good after many hours in the saddle. Very precise handling. Aluminum fork, don't ask me why, provides a smooth ride. Mostly 105 components, but deluxe Ultegra rear derailleur. Triple ring with fine assortment of gears for every terrain.
