Light (with Shimano Ultegra group, about 18.7 lbs); Forgiving on long, bumpy rides; Quick and sharp during 'power' accelarations; Easy to add on to
Comes with an aluminum fork - somewhat of a tiring ride after 40 to 50 miles or so. Other than that, it's a great bike
I bought this bike for a great price off of E-Bay right at a year ago. It came with an after-market carbon fiber seat post and Mavic Open Pro wheels. I've since logged around 1,800 miles on it and love it! All of my friends are shocked that it is a carbon fiber frame with an aluminum fork but I'm replacing that in a couple of weeks with a Kestrel EMS Pro and a set of the new Shimano 540 wheels. The bike is supple and absorbs/disperses bumps well (except for the aluminum fork) and has a very nice feel under power. It is very easy to quickly transfer power when doing sprints or powering up hills. I'd never even heard of a Specialized Epic Comp and did some research, had lengthy discussions with the seller and talked to bike mechanics. This is a great bike! If you ever have a chance to pick one up, DO IT!
