Strengths: The bike is light, maneuverable, fast and very comfortable. The components work very well, and the rapid fire shifters, work as quickly and precisely
as STI shifters I've used. While you cannot stand on climbs, this bike is stiff and climbs well. Comes with nice Continental tires.Weaknesses: I have few complaints. It would be nice to have the seat more adjustable along the frame.
This Bike may take a little longer to get comfortable with than some others. I find I hit my
foot against the front tire from time to time when turning tightly, when I'm not paying attention anyway.
Lastly, I would like larger diameter chain rings, because even in the highest gear I spin too fast when going down hill,
which limits my top end.Bottom Line: Prior to buying, I test rode the Rans V-Rex, Rans V2, Rans Straus, Easy Racer, BIKE AT, and Vision 44.
I found the V45 to be an excellent all around performer. I can ride for hours with no discomfort, and even
though I'm not in great physical condition, I can easily keep up with all of my riding buddies; in fact, they
can no longer keep up with me, which had never been the case before. The Ultegra components work very well.
It is a pleasure to bike in this much comfort !
