Strengths: I like it. What can I say?Weaknesses: None for me yet. That this bike weighs
34 lbs instead of 26 lbs is meaningless
to me.Bottom Line: This is my first bent. I bought this
bike after much research. There are
no bent bike shops in my area, so I
had to use the intuitive approach.
I feel I did very well. This bike
is fantastic. Handles like a small
sports car and is extremely comfortable.
The quality of the bike is first rate.
Some of the things that attracted me to
this bike are as follows. I decided I
wanted a SWB design. The styling of this
bike attracted me immediately as I am a
sports car buff and also a sport bike rider. The thought of having a bike with a lawn chair for a seat, no matter how ergo, left me flat. This seat is ergo and stylish. I also liked the frame design and it's suspension. Another reason I chose this bike is that the wheelbase is a little longer than some of the other SWB's and I felt this would pay off in stability.

Strengths: Strong, stable and fast. I had a road bike slam into me. The bike and I went flying. The bike did alot better then I did. Can you say blood lose. The Lynx wasn't bothered much by it.Weaknesses: Road bikers want to try my bike. After 70 mile rides they seem mad that my rear doesn't hurt like theirs. The only true weaknes is that Yellow bike died, that ok because I emailed Optima in Holland for a part and they sent it quickly.Bottom Line: I started out with a Vision, it was ok but I wanted more speed and to not be worried about that speed. To give me what I wnted I bought the Lynx. I've had the bike over a year and estimate I have 2,000+ miles on it. It's fun when a bent can out run road bikes going over bridges. Not normal for a bent.
I just purchased a Rans Rocket, its ok and fine for easy week day riding but it's no where as stable, fast and enjoyable as my Lynx. I want my Lynx to last for a long time giving me those great weekday rides. The Rans is just a bike to a experienced bent rider.

Strengths: high performance:stable at low speed, solid tracking at high speed (no twitchines) / comfort:ergonomic seat with ventilating pad, pivoting-stem above seat steering, rear suspension / esthetics: sleek, cool-looking design / componentry and construction: XT-Ultegra mix, high-pressure Vredestein tires, Velocity Aeroheat rims, aluminum monotube frame - this bike shouts quality all the way.Weaknesses: a bit pricey unless you get it on sale; some suspension bob if you push-pedal too hard on hills; lack of braze-ons; it's no light weight at 33 poiundsBottom Line: This machine is a perfect blend of slick looks, high performance and nimble handling. The only thing faster and sexier are the lowracers - but the Lynx is far more practical in handling on average roads. I like the ride so much I've clicked off 900 miles in a little over 3 months - and I'm only a recreational rider!. If you want a stylish SWB that performs as great as it looks, this is a bike to give serious consideration.
