Price Paid:  $1750.00 at Dauphin Bikes Surrey

Favorite Ride:
Any D route Northen France

Bike Setup:
Campag chainrings (front mech to you in the USA, and Shimano for the rest. Wheels French Mavic open pro, saddle selle italis transam.

Summary:
I bought the CT1 as a European rider whol lives in a hilly part of England and makes forays into th Alps and Pyrenees. I had problems with speed wobble until I bought the CT1. This frame feels as if it has a brain, my older bike a (French Sunn asphalt) was a good bike, but the CT1 is a plush and a fast ride, also I love titanium and carbon mix. My off road bike a Kona Hei Hei is also titanium, lovely material.

Strengths:
Balance, solid cornering nuild quality. Also I identify with Ernesto Colnago, he is a smooth operator with high standards.

Weaknesses:
Not many, new price is high, but will last a lifetime. Note my price is pounds sterling not dollars or euros.

Similar Products Used:
Sunn asphalt, good sprinter, fine on the level but nervous downhill.

Price Paid:  $0.00

Favorite Ride:
America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride

Bike Setup:
Dura Ace, Easton carbon bar and seatpost, Chris King HS, American Classic 420 wheelset, Continental Attack/Force tires, Thomson Stem

Summary:
I purchased all of the parts separately and had the bike assembled myself. Going from old 80's Centurian Accordo RS to this bike was like going from a Yugo to a Porsche. You can really feel it on the climbs, were it is easy to accelerate and gain time on your fellow riders. I cut 30 minutes from my century ride time this year. It rides smooth and handles great.

Strengths:
weight, ride, climbing, finish

Weaknesses:
total cost

Price Paid:  $3900.00 at , Bikesport in Dearb

Favorite Ride:
Col De La Croix De Fer or ant ride with good friends

Bike Setup:
Chorus 10, Ksyrium wheels, Colnago Carbon post, ITM (Colnago) stem and bar,Time Impact, Gel Flite and Conti 3000

Summary:
The word "nimble" keeps popping into my head when I want to describe this bike to someone else, but that's a very broad brush stroke to paint a total picture of the CT-1. The first thing I noticed was the rabbit like quickness to which it responds to any pressure put to the peddles. After ridding it for approximatly 700 miles the smoothness of the ride has become very evident and I no longer feel beat up after a long ride. In the beginning I thought it handled very similarly to my Merckx Corsa Extra. Now, after becomming more relaxed on the bike, I notice that I can dive into corners and the bike seems to find the right line every time. Although I haven't ridden many different high-end bike, this is by far the greatest one I've ridden to date. It is everthing I hoped it would be.

Strengths:
Handling, responsiveness, craftsmanship and of course a drop-dead paint job.

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
Batavus, Miyatia & Merckx

Price Paid:  $4800.00 at Bike Depot

Favorite Ride:
GWB

Bike Setup:
Dura-ace with Velomax wheels plus all the other goodies.

Summary:
This is my first high end road bike so I don't have much to compare it to. But I will say the bike is very light and nimble. It cuts the wind like a knife and climbs very nicely. This bike is very smooth for the century rides.

Strengths:
Stiff for the sprints yet buttery smooth for the all day rides.
Fantastic paint job.

Weaknesses:
None that I can see.

Price Paid:  $4200.00 at CYCLES ANITPOLIS - A

Favorite Ride:
Col of Vence

Bike Setup:
Bike Set-up : CAMPY Record 10V - Nucleon Weels, tires Velofex Record.

Summary:
The Bike of my dreams which has confort, rigidity. I Sprint pretty well, Very light and smooth for climbing.

I can accelerate very fast !!

Strengths:
Responsive
Rigidity
Good for sprints and hill climbing
good fork

Weaknesses:
I had so many bikes before that I had all of them weaknesses and I found this one where it is a MUST!!. The only weakness I may think of could be the Italian geometry type for the frame which obliges me to have the saddle far behind.

Similar Products Used:
Scapin EOS 5 (good bike but not responsive)
TVT Carbon (Bad confort)
Look KG381 - Not near the CT1
Basso Viper
