Strengths:    Raced this bike in 3 triathlons and it performed pretty well. It's definitely a bike meant for racing triathlons as it flies on straight courses. The components are decent for the money spent.

Weaknesses:    The ride is super stiff and it doesn't do well on technical courses with many corners. I also found it difficult to train on as any ride over 60 miles would leave me aching. The seat tube geometry could be improved. Front dr needed extra attention with the bar end shifters. 600 c wheels can be a problem over the long run, not easy to find good rims. Brakes always needed re-adjustment after taking off and putting on the wheels.

Bottom Line:
Decent bike for the amount it costs. Be mindful that this bike is for triathlons.

Strengths:    Price, stiffness, decent parts

Weaknesses:    Too stiff for some, aluminum fork, weight

Bottom Line:
This is a great bike for someone who is just starting out tri's on a budget. I actually have the first aloha from 1998. All the other tri bikes I looked at cost at least $400 more without pedals. I have ridden it in many races and centuries without problem. The only thing is that a frame at this price you are not going to get all those advanced differential tubing and stuff. It means this is one stiff bike! Especially with the stock straight aluminum fork. It's great when I am sprinting and climbing up all those hills here in Cali but it sucks when the road gets rough. Probably not a bike to get if you have bad back and definitely stay away if you still believe steel is real. For me however this bike had served me well.

Bottom Line:
I only demoed this bike but since there were no reviews I thought I'd put in something. Overall I was impressed by this package for the price. I was a surprised by the quality of the frame. It was a little heavy, probably due to all the aero tubes. The wheels were great--even had bladed spokes. I seriously considered buying this bike but I really wanted a carbon fork (ride was a little harsh) and a few other things were not quite to my liking that I would have to change so I spent some more money and got exactly what I was looking for. Went with a Cervelo Erye Tri, will be reviewing.
