a Recreational Rider
from Pearland, TX USADate Reviewed: July 17, 2003
Strengths: Ride. Quality of craftsmanship. Great intermediate bike that is fun to upgrade at your leisure.Weaknesses: Stock saddle is archaic. Otherwise, really no complaints.Bottom Line: I used to ride seriously from 1978 till 1995. Now married with two kids I have returned to cycling as a purely fitness/recreational endeavor. I have always been a "steel is real" guy so I was looking for a reliable, value packed bike that I can upgrade at my leisure. I have added a kinesis carbon fiber fork and a Selle Italia Gel Saddle. I bought some old TIME Sprint pedals and am in the process of upgrading the brakes to completely make it an RSX gruppo. This bike is fun to customize. It rides like a dream and I expect to have many more fun years with it.
Favorite Ride: anywhere less than 90 degrees
