Strengths: Responsive, Solid design ahead of its time, light (16-17 lbs fully equipped at 52cm), great climbing bike. Sprinting is strong.Weaknesses: Not as stiff as my old Biachi but excellent overallBottom Line: Former road racer who because of an accident in the late 80's never got the urge to race again until now, my early forties. I needed a new bike more modern than my trusty racer (Bianchi celeste Gara from 84, awesome but now a classic I do not want to damage). Came a ccross a GT ZR3.0 frame and was sold on the design, more expensive bikes are copying the tripple triangle now (BMC come to mind immediately, though not with the same tubing but placement at the rear, just look at the top end racing bikes and you'll see what I mean). Had it built with Utegra Calipers and cockpit, Dura-ace Derailleurs and a SRAM 11 - 25 at the back (10Spd). Solid performer, very nimble, responsive, awesome climbing and sprinting bike (almost as good as my Old Bianchi but it may be that I have to get used to it more). Carbon forks are responsive but I think I will opt out to downgrade to aluminum-call me an old foggy but I find Carbon to be like a wet noodle, too much give. The aluminum of the frame is excellent. Looking forward to racing it as soon as I consider myself in shape to do so.
Favorite Ride: GT ZR3.0
Purchased At: Toronto
Bike Setup: Duar-ace deraileurs (7700), Ultegra 6600 Brakes, Cokpit and crank are Ultegra as well, SRAM 10 - 25 10spd, fizik allez elite seat. etc

Strengths: great frame, solid stock components, gorgeous paint jobWeaknesses: stock saddle
GT's new corporate ownersBottom Line: An excellent bike overall - solidly built, responsive, beautiful paint job, respectably spec'd for a bike in this price range. Not super light, but light enough to race at non-elite levels. Stiff but surprisingly comfortable ride - much better shock absorption than previous aluminum frames I've owned. I train and race in triathlons on this bike, and I have been extremely happy with it - no problems to report after 5000+ miles!

Strengths: Handling, components, price, climbs well, comfy now I;ve relaced that saddle.Weaknesses: Saddle, stock headset is a bit dodgy.Bottom Line: Bought this for my first triathlon, haven't been disappointed yet...well until I came to fit tri bars. This bike climbs beautifully, wears well, looks great and is easy as hell to maintain. Have done over 3000 miles on it and no problems at all. Stock wheels have been replaced today by Krysriums, shorter stem went on 6 months ago and stock saddle had to go. Love this bike, sharp handling, a dream, and such a bargin!! Downside being relaxed seat angle for tri bars, but its not made to take them so can;t complain. Very comfortable.
