at Classic Cycles Summary: very pleased with this bicycle. Feels solid even at 40mph. Responsive on hills. Have double and is sufficient for hills around here. Regularly ride 40-60 miles per week for 6 months a year. This is a goood bike for the moderately serious recreation rider. Strengths: Good value. Workmanship Weaknesses: none

at on -line classifieds - this site Favorite Ride: Doylestown hill loop Bike Setup: stock - full ultegra Summary: great touring / low end amateur racer. Could not pass on deal - 50 miles on used bike, with Shimano pedals. Swapped the saddle, as most do..will buy new pedals, as I'm a Look rider. Otherwise a great ride, would suit many riders looking for a quality steel bike. Heard and read all the comments about the dropouts ands skewers, but I just really cranked em down, and I've pulled pretty hard the last 3 weeks and no accidents. I like the looks and feel of the Vector Comps, and again there are always better, lighter wheelsets,..... which equally lighten the wallet. I prefer to work the body to improve. When I rech the limit where the gear holds me back, I'll reconsider If you're gonna be a hardcore Cat 2/3 (or wannabe), pick another bike. If you ride a lot and once in a while pretend you are, you'll love the Zurich. Yeah the 2001 is a bit stiffer on the BB, has uppgrade headset, but for the $750, I can live with it easy. Strengths: frame fit, slick gruppo, smooth ride Weaknesses: quill stem / headset not current Similar Products Used: CDale 800/1000, Diamondback master

at www.paulsbike.com Favorite Ride: conway to morrilton Bike Setup: Stock from the factory - added speedplay pedals Summary: I love this bike - the guys over at pauls bike shop in little rock ( www.paulsbike.com ) correctly fitted me to my frame and made the most out of my first road bike purchase. I was wary at first, but after putting the first fifty miles in on this bike I have realized what a good decision it was to go this route. I added the speedplay x2 pedals to the bike and have put over 500 miles since I first bought it and havent had one problem out of the bike at all. I highly recommend this bike to anyone wanting to make the transition over to a road bike. It handles the corners well and descends like a rocket. First time roadies will love the laid back angles on the tubing, this is a very friendly bike and can be ridden for long distances. This is one bike that I will keep for a long time. many people dis the rolf wheels for their stiffness, but I have found that with the suppleness of the frame, you get a very reliable and precise ride without a lot of jarring. I think the Lemond team did a good job of specing a very capable bike, and think that you would love this bike as well. Strengths: this was a 2001 zurich - I love the way the supple steel frame soaks up all the bumps! This thing rides great. everything is smooth and I havent had any problems with anything on the bike at all. Weaknesses: saddle takes a while to get used to Similar Products Used: trek and cannondale (test rides)

at Mojo Wheels Favorite Ride: Ride the Rockies Bike Setup: Stock with full Ultegra triple and Rolf Vector Comp wheels. I had the LBS change the stem out so I wouldn't feel streched out. After 300 miles had to get another seat. My 40+ body couldn't handle it. Bought a Specialized Body Geometry that works well for me. Summary: My previous bike was an '85 Motobecane Mirage. As you can imagine, the Lemond was a huge step forward for me. At first, I never considered the Zurich because it was out of my price range. But I found this one on sale and couldn't pass it up. Also my wife was getting tired of me going to every bike shop in town. The Lemond Zurich is an excellent bike. I've put 1500 miles on it and enjoyed evey mile. Believe it or not, I haven't had any flats with the stock Michelin tires. They offer a great ride. I haven't tried any other tires yet. Also the wheels are still true even after riding on some very rough roads. I weigh 160# if this matters at all.
I just completed Ride the Rockies and had no problems or complaints about this bike. I would highly recommend a Lemond to anyone wanting to make a move up to a high performance bike. This bike has a wonderful ride and I'm very comfortable with it. I have no regrets about buying it. Even though it's blue, my wife and I call it the Ferrari. This is as close as I'll ever get to owning a real Ferrari. You can pay more for a bike with the same components, but why?
Strengths: Great combination of frame and components. Love the Rolf Wheels. Excellent value. Weaknesses: Paint scratches easily Similar Products Used: Cannondale, Trek, Bianchi
