Price Paid:  $1000.00 at EBay

Favorite Ride:
Livermore, CA

Bike Setup:
Full Dura-Ace 9-speed. Spinergy Rev-X wheels, Conti Grand Prix 3000 tires, Syntace C2 aero bar, Flite saddle.

Summary:
The Litespeed Tachyon is my first Tri-bike and I truely love it! It's very fast and accelerates on demand. I bought this bike used and it's been through a few IM races but it's still in excellent condition. A good tuneup, new tires, new stem, and it's ready to race.

Strengths:
Light & fast!

Weaknesses:
Not as aero as new model Tri-bikes. But awesome for beginning triathletes.

Price Paid:  $700.00 at Triathlete Zombie

Favorite Ride:
waihiki island, Auckland NZ

Bike Setup:
Ultegra, Rolf Vector wheelset, Time fork

Summary:
I was waiting for the sabre which was due out at the shops in Nov 1999. But a trip to the US, gave me the chance to scout for the tachyon '99. Instead, I found the '98 at a shop at a discount with just the right size! What luck! Ever since the bike and I have been through Triathlons and it has been wonderful: responsive, light and the geometry fits me like a glove.

Strengths:
Light, strong, supple

Weaknesses:
Expensive unless you get them on a sale, which is very, very rare.

Summary:
Awesome bike! Handles well. Responsive. I had a 1998 tachyon which got lost on the airlines for 1 week (US Air). Thought it was stolen, and considered other bikes. But I knew all I really wanted was another tachyon. No complaints about this bike, or I wouldn't have bought another.

Summary:

I just received my Litespeed Tachyon, and let me tell you it is impressive. I race in triathlons, and have been planning on purchasing a new tri-bike for some time. With all my research and saving, my bicycle was well worth the wait. It is very light, handles great, and surprised by what others say that Ti frames are much more comfrotable is true. The Litespeed Tachyon is the bike of my dreams.
