Strengths: Stiff frame, highly upgradable, comfortable, fast. Indestructable Armadillo tires that live up to the hype and more. The granny gear makes it easy to climb any hill.Weaknesses: Deore components show serious wear and tear after 100 miles. The wheels make pinging sounds on the slightest bumps (it's really embarassing). Stock Sirrus weighs 25-27lbs. It's on the heavy side for the price. I got minor saddle burn with the stock BG saddle.Bottom Line: Overall, great beginner/commuter/city bike. Like all hybrids, it can do both road/mtn, but neither very well. If you want to do long road rides, you'll need to get a road bike. You'll feel a little fatigue after 30-40 miles with the Sirrus. The same goes with offroad trails — get a mnt bike instead. I average an honest 18mph with the Sirrus. It's fairly responsive and fast, but in the end it's really a handicapped road bike. Flat handle bars and small cranks puts a speed limit on the rider. If you don't plan on going faster than 30mph(max), it's a really fun ride.

Strengths: Tires just don't go flat, Deore/LX drive train,Weaknesses: Tires are unforgiving.Bottom Line: I bought the 2001 comp version as a closeout. I commute about 40 - 60 miles per week. I have also taken this bike on some longer week-end rides. A great bike for commuting and long casual rides.

Strengths: Almost bullet proof tires. Good drive train and great frame.Weaknesses: Still not sure about the seat. More of an upright riding position but that is why I bought it.Bottom Line: This an awesome bike. I was riding a comfort bike with wide tires which is slow so I wanted something for distance and speed without the drop bar and this fits the bill. It is very responsive and fast. I bought the Comp version because it was a close out and a very good price.
