Strengths:    Strong, reliable, good gearing and components (Shamino rx 100)for it's age. Geometry seems just right for me (although I'm no expert). Rolling resistance, even compared to new expensive bikes, is very good.

Weaknesses:    components are now dated.
Modern bikes have better components and shock absorbing frame materials.

Bottom Line:
I purchased this bike without a lot of intense research. It has been reliable except now, approaching 4000 miles, I have had to replace some components and the chain. I have replaced chain rings, rear cluster, tires and handlebar tape and pedals. I'm not a racer, but the bike fit me well and seemed responsive at the time. I know modern bikes give a better ride, shift smoother and some are lighter than this (at 23 lbs with pump and bottle cage). I think it was a good buy and might consider a Trek for a replacement soon.
