Strengths: Strong, reliable, good gearing and components (Shamino rx 100)for it's age. Geometry seems just right for me (although I'm no expert). Rolling resistance, even compared to new expensive bikes, is very good.Weaknesses: components are now dated.
Modern bikes have better components and shock absorbing frame materials.Bottom Line: I purchased this bike without a lot of intense research. It has been reliable except now, approaching 4000 miles, I have had to replace some components and the chain. I have replaced chain rings, rear cluster, tires and handlebar tape and pedals. I'm not a racer, but the bike fit me well and seemed responsive at the time. I know modern bikes give a better ride, shift smoother and some are lighter than this (at 23 lbs with pump and bottle cage). I think it was a good buy and might consider a Trek for a replacement soon.
Favorite Ride: Chilly Hilly Bainbridge Island
