at LBS Bike Setup: XT Rear Derailleur and Cassette, 105 Front, 105 Shifters W/Flight deck, Mavic 519T Wheels with rear drum hub, cane creek thread less head set, Shimano tandem cranks and, Flite Titanium and Terry Butterfly saddle and Everything else mainly Coda. Nice setup out of the box to get you going. Summary: Excellent bike. I looked at all the major builders and the Cannondale is by far the best value, and in my opinion extremely well made. Compared to the Santana similarly spec'd I thought the Cannondale had a better feel. The bike is stiffer and lighter. As I mentioned this bike is on rails. The fit and finish I thought was also above what I saw from Santana. The bikes I saw from Santana and other builders did not have the paint work like the Dale. The paint is flawless and beautifully detailed. The frame is disc/drum ready. The bike came standard with a drum ready hub. From what I saw not all the frames from Santana were disc/drum ready. This is important for touring and any serious down hill to avoid heating the brakes. Not to mention the bike was 2k or so less for the similar spec'd bike. In fact, it had a better set of Mavic's and definitely a better head set. You can't miss with this bike if your take a close look at the Cannondale vs. any other tandem bike you will see it out muscles them. I am by no means a Dale freak; in fact it’s the only Dale I own out of 4 other bikes. Keep em' turning. Strengths: Very stiff frame yet comfortable. The bike has excellent handling characteristics. It rides on rails.....just like a roller coaster. Great ride!! Cannondale makes a beautiful frame. Weaknesses: 105 front derailur and shifters. They do they job but are not as smooth as Ultegra. Not sure about the Shimano tandem cranks/rings vs ultegra or Race Face tandem Similar Products Used: N/A
