Bottom Line: Probably the smoothest ride I have ever had. The light weight steel is very forgiving. The climbing ring sure comes in handy in the Texas Hill Country.

Strengths: This bike rides like the best of the classic steel road bikes of the 1970's, but is lighter and more versitile. It is basically an all around road bike with fender and rack capability.Weaknesses: By todays's standards, it would be nice if someone made a standard reach (now considered long reach) carbon fork with eyelets and clearance for fenders and 28mm tires. But all this would really accomplish is to drop the weight, as the steel fork it comes with rides perfectly.Bottom Line: The Club Racer is the best all-around bike I have ever owned, and over the last 35 years I have owned a lot of bikes!

Similar Products Used: Many stock and custom frames over the years, by Bob Jackson, Holdsworth, Cinelli, Peter Mooney, Paramount, etc.
Bike Setup: I built up the bike as my every-day training/touring/fender bike...Shimano Ultegra, normal wheels with DT spokes and Mavic rims. Also plastic fenders, Cateye lights, and an alloy rear rack. It still only weighs about 22 pounds.
