Strengths: The ride, aluminum can't touch it for hours in the saddle.Weaknesses: Quill stems and headsets are getting very hard to find. Also, the bike has barcons so regular brake levers are equally hard to find. Ebay becomes your friend when sourcing out retro projects like this.Bottom Line: I bought the frameset on ebay in 2004 and pieced it together over the last year on the cheap. It has a Campy Veloce/Mirage drivetrain with Chorus/Open Pro wheels. The bike has a very smooth ride even with the 700 X 23C tires. It is more than stiff enough for my 150lbs. The Veloce/Mirage mix is surprisingly good for Campy's low end components. Over the winter I'm going to upgrade the group and will report back then.
Favorite Ride: Any steel bike
