Price Paid:  $2200.00 at Hawaii Bikes, Inc.

Favorite Ride:
Ala Moana-Waimanalo

Bike Setup:
51 cm QR/Merlin Ti frame, QR carbonaero fork, ultegra group, syntace bars, 650c mavic cxp-33 wheels.

Summary:
Ride all day without feeling stiff. Great bike, no real draw backs, but Merlin no longer makes this frame. Bike shops pay $875 for the frame & fork, so don't pay more than $1,100. Good value for the money. Perfect for triathletes who find Aluminimum too stiff/painful but stiffer than carbon. Frame not "aero" but the tubes are so narrow I doubt it makes any difference below 30 mph. The Merlin welds are scalloped works of art. Whole bike weighs 18.75 lbs. Aloha

Strengths:
Light weight Ti frame, QR carbonaero fork. Fast, stiff, and buttery smooth over the bumps.

Weaknesses:
None signifcant.

Bike Setup:
Ultegra/Dura Ace Mix

Summary:
Purchased this bike for my first Ironman and I was not disappointed. Great ride that leaves you ready for the run. No if only I had more time to ride it!

Strengths:
The ride and feel of this bike are great. The geometry is also right on. Looks good!

Weaknesses:
Maybe the price, but look for a good deal...
