Price Paid:  $800.00 at Mathieu's Cycle & Fi

Favorite Ride:
Any ride the sun comes up on

Bike Setup:
Ritchie drop bar (44ccm), Shimano 515 pedals, rest stock

Summary:
This is a road bike, NOT a cruiser. In 3 months I've put just over 1,000 miles on the bike with zero problems. I too am a large mountain biker (230lb) who crossed over to roadie this year. This frame does not flex, even under my considerable load. The riding postion is very comfortable, even on rides of 4-5 hours duration. The shifting could be crisper, but this is an entry level bike equipped with entry-level (Sora) components

Strengths:
solid frame, Cannondale quality, ride

Weaknesses:
Sora

Similar Products Used:
Giant, Trek

Price Paid:  $760.00 at Streit's Cyclery

Favorite Ride:
W&OD Rail Trail

Bike Setup:
Standard, but added clipless peddles, Nashbar computer, & Topek saddlepack

Summary:
Great value for a USA hand-built bike! While the bike comes without dropdown paddle shifters, I found no problem adjusting to the shifter position.

Strengths:
Price. Handling. Good cruiser, but fast!

Weaknesses:
No drop-down position shifters.

Price Paid:  $830.00 at Cycling Concepts

Favorite Ride:
hills of SE CT

Bike Setup:
Factory except for Specialized saddle, Cat-Eye Enduro odometer, and Shimano clip-less pedals

Summary:
This bike is an awesome set-up for someone who is a serious recreational rider. I do an average of 50-70 miles per week, and I have never had a problem. The bike has a great fit, and the frame has no flex even with my 215 pounds. The handling is superb. Absolutely a great value for an awesome package.

Strengths:
Nimble handling
Stiff, strong frame
Great brakes
Fast acceleration
No power loss
Snappy green paint

Weaknesses:
None
