Price Paid:  $279.00 at Bikes & Moore, Hopki

Favorite Ride:
Raleigh SC40

Bike Setup:
As comes from Ralleigh except for the addition opf Shimano PD-M646 cleated pedals

Summary:
This is a good bike for the occasional rider or for someone like me who wanted to see if I still enjoyed riding after a long absence.

As advertised, this is a Sport Comfort bike; a compromise between mountain and road. Suitable for back roads and the "well beaten path", weight, SS tires and lack of a replaceable hanger disqualify it from true mountain bike activity. It doesn't even resemble a road bike.

After riding daily for a couple months I have decided to build rather than buy my next bike. I will be hopping on my Raleigh daily until it is complete. Overall a Great deal if it fits your nitch.

Strengths:
Ready to ride as is. Sturdy enough for moderate trail-work. Good for the back roads. Solid feel & ride. Suspension in the fork and the seat post it smooth the harsh edge from most impacts.

Weaknesses:
A real pig at 33+ lbs for a medium, 18” frame. Rear hanger not replaceable. Seat is surprisingly plush to be so uncomfortable.
