Price Paid:  $1095.00 at Action Bikes

Bike Setup:
Standard specs - apart from the pedals. If you are going to buy this bike, get some good binding pedals and shoes. The difference is enormous

Summary:
Outstanding bit of kit. Light, very responsive and very fast. You'll be flying past all other riders and cars. Top end specs. A dream to ride anywhere, on the open road or in the city. Oh, it looks fantastic as welll. You'll be turning heads everywhere you ride.

Strengths:
Excellent all round package as far as the equipment is concerned. Nimble, very light and extremely quick.

Weaknesses:
Expensive. Also, because of its excellent specs and looks, it's the sort of bike likely to get the interest of thieves (get yourself some very good locks).

Price Paid:  $1095.00 at A shop that lost int

Bike Setup:
As purchased except for change of tyres and saddle and pedals

Summary:
By the way the price is in pounds!Conventional frame, Shimano WH-R535 wheels. Meant to be like a road bike with flat bars. It has road gearing, 52/42 plus a 32 tooth inner ring. Avid Single digit brakes on mine, not as per catalogue.

Strengths:
Light. Supposedly strong frame. Seems responsive despite 73/72 degree head/seat tube angles.

Weaknesses:
Wheels are an unknown quantity - are they strong enough to ride forest paths etc or not? Likewise the ?Mizuno fork.

More used to road bikes.

Price Paid:  $0.00 at CycleRevival, Heathf

Bike Setup:
Stock with Wellgo clipless pedals

Summary:
Why is this listed as a 'cyclocross' bike? The Tiburon is the most fantastic road machine: light, responsive, outrageously quick and, thanks to the upright riding position, RapidFire shifters and V-brakes, the most confidence-inspiring bike I've ever ridden. It climbs like a dream, and the handling is incredibly sharp, yet never scarily so. Superb components (105/Ultegra/WH-R535 wheelset) a gorgeous paintjob - it even has a really comfortable saddle, which if you've been suffering on a conventional road bike will be a revelation. The Al frame and carbon fork do a fantastic job of soaking up the road, and the Shimano wheelset with 700x28 tyres is the perfect blend of speed and comfort. If you want to go a long way, fast, but don't like drops or being cut in half by a racing sadle, this is simply the best bike you can buy. Flatbar road bikes is still a relatively small market, but this is the way of the future, folks, on our overcrowded roads and rotten surfaces. And right now, the Tiburon must have a good shout at being the best bike of its type in the world. How many £1,000 machines can make a claim like that? Quite simply, this is the bike you never knew you needed. But as soon as you ride it, you'll wonder where it's been all your life. Big, big thank you to Matt @ CycleRevival for sorting it for me.

Strengths:
Frame, components, build quality, comfort, handling, looks, price, name on the downtube!

Weaknesses:
None.

Specialized, Trek, Giant road bikes/MTBs/hybrids - you name it.
