Strengths: Comfort, reliability, versitility, lots of braze-ons for the aftermarket goodies.Weaknesses: Slipping seat post, jumpy 6th gear, spongy brakes, sorry pedals.Bottom Line: This bike was purchased with commuting in mind. Since then, it has had to double as weekend road tourer as well as daily driver. It looks pretty sharp even with a rear luggage deck and a front fender. If I ran the zoo, I would steer GF from employing dorky grip shifters - when bumps are encountered, I find myself having shifted into a gear I had no intention of riding. The brake pulls are a bit spongy and the sixth gear cog seems to slip when pressure is applied (this has been the case since new) but this GF has never left me stranded. For the price, this bike has met and exceeded my expectations. It may not last a lifetime but it has given me back a lifetime passion for bicycling.
