Price Paid:  $500.00 at Door County Bikes

Favorite Ride:
Door County

Bike Setup:
Stock, with sram attack shorty shifters, shimano LX brakes, Avid brake levers. Serfas rx seat, topeak bar ends.

Summary:
After doing 3 century rides on this bike I come to love it. The Manitou Luxe fork isn’t the greatest and it seems a little heavy but the bike is solid, responsive, and a good value for the money. Over the course of the year I did upgrade the brake levers to Avid and the shifters to sram attack shorties due to personal preference.

Strengths:
Drivetrain, Frame, wheel set, seat which is very comfortable. Perhaps too comfortable.

Weaknesses:
front fork, seatpost. At 27 pounds a tad heavy.

Similar Products Used:
Giant Warp, Trek 7200,

Price Paid:  $650.00 at Bike & Hike - COrval

Favorite Ride:
20-30 mile road rides

Bike Setup:
Stock w/cateye computer.

Summary:
I purchased both the limited edition 201 SX for me, and the 2002 SX for my wife. The 2001 had a better front fork (Rock Shox Metro) - The Manitou on the 2002 was way too wimpy for my 265lbs.

Strengths:
Flexible - can use for recrational paved trails, light road riding, or distance rides.

Weaknesses:
Front fork sucks.

Giant OCR2, Cannondale Super V-500
